Lately, we've all had to come to the realization that this Summer will be unlike any Summer we've seen for a long time. We are having to cancel important events, reschedule vacations, and postpone gatherings. However, the Librarians at the Algoma Public Library are working hard to keep our Summer Reading Program alive! Listed below is the new and improved line-up for our Teens (12 to 18)! Since we will not be having in-house programming, until we know FOR SURE that all of our patrons will be safe to visit our library for extended lengths of time, all of these programs have been modified so that they will be held digitally. Some are going to be held through Google Hangouts so that all can take part and interact, others will have sign ups so that you can pick up supplies at the library then follow along at home at the day and time of the event, and a few will be simple informative streams for any that might have time to learn. Get out your calendars, pocketbooks, iPads, or sticky notes and write down the info for the programs that catch your eye or make you go, "Oooooooo. What's that???" We are so excited to try this brand new Summer Reading. Stay tuned for more information, links, Facebook events, and other goodies as we get closer to our Summer Reading Program! Can't wait to see your wonderful faces/comments online! For any questions or concerns, feel free to email the library at [email protected] or give us a call during our curbside hours (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 12 PM to 6 PM.)
