Libraries, for decades, have been a staple in each community for housing books, movies, magazines, and local history. Those items are still a large portion of what libraries, like ours, want to offer our patrons.
However, one of the unspoken talents of public libraries is the ability to grow and adapt as the needs of our community change. In addition to the "traditional" items you can browse and borrow, we made a video highlighting some of the more recent pieces of our collection that are utilized by our families, neighbors, children, and friends that help our community stay connected and entertained. We offer public computers for your work and printing needs, public iPads filled with educational games, preloaded tablets patrons can take home, mobile Wi-Fi hotspots that bring free internet to your home for a week, DVDs, Blu-ray, and music CDs, videogames for multiple consoles, Microfilm readers that help with your genealogy/research needs, and our public printer when you don't have access at home. All these things and more can be found at your local Algoma Public Library. We'd love to see you here.
