Experience what it’s like to live with dementia by walking in their shoes on Wednesday, August 31st at 1pm. This life-changing simulation teaches us how to provide better care. Visit our Story Walk on the Boardwalk! The story, Today is Beach Day, by Nancy Viau will be up from August 9th - 22nd at Algoma's Crescent Beach Boardwalk.
Kids, get ready to go back to school with fun ideas and items in this kit. Available Monday, August 22th while supplies last.
Donations accepted August 1st to 20th. Children need the proper tools to achieve success in school. Often these tools are as simple as paper, pencils or crayons. The Algoma Public Library is accepting school supply donations on behalf of the children and families in our community that are in need. Donated supplies can be dropped off at the Algoma Public Library.
Examples of Supplies Needed: Scissors, Loose leaf paper, Single subject notebooks, Elmer’s Glue, Pens, Pencils, Color pencils, Glue Sticks, Crayons, Markers, Folders, and Pink Erasers These items will be available for our local teachers to pick up during the annual Teacher Meet and Greet. This Meet and Greet gives teachers the opportunity to come in and connect with the Public Library, set up teacher cards and to talk to library staff on any material needs and or any questions they may have.

The movie we'll be playing is: The Bad Guys Runtime: 1 HR 40 MIN Rating: PG Based off the popular graphic novel series. A kit designed for Adults, inspired by the last month of August and all are non-alcoholic drinks! Kit includes 2-3 recipes and some ingredients. Participant is responsible for purchasing the rest of the ingredients. Kit available to pick up Monday, August 8th.
