Tuesday, November 28th at 3 PM "" Meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, join Braelyn for Adult Creative Writing. We will have writing prompts and activities for those looking for inspiration. The first hour will be used for brainstorming and writing, the time left will be for sharing our pieces (for those that would like to). All materials will be provided by the Library (paper, pens, pencils). Sharing of new or old pieces is encouraged, but not required.

Between homework, extracurriculars, jobs, family plans, and keeping up with friends, there are lots of things to fill your calendars as a teenager. The Algoma Public Library would like to help you add some more fun amongst the plans. Teens are welcome to come to the Library starting at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, November 21st to unwind with friends in our after hours Teen Game Night. Please note that because this is an after hours program, teens must arrive between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM since the doors will be locked after our scheduled open hours. Teens that need to leave before the end of the program won't be able to come back in after 7 PM. Staff will be available until 8 PM. Please make sure rides know that the library will close and staff will be leaving at 8 PM.  Join us on Tuesday, November 21st at 1 pm. We are reading "Braiding Sweetgrass" by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Books are available in regular print, large print, audiobook on CD and on Libby (eBook and eAudiobook) and on Hoopla (eBook and eAudiobook). You can also put a copy on hold on infosoup.

Today's Movie is: Movie: Chicken Run Rating: G Runtime: 1HR 24 MIN Our After School Movie program is geared towards children and tweens along with their caregivers. We ask that adults with no children refrain from attending. Friday, November 17th at 9 AM Join Algoma High School students at the Wellness Center for our Teen Teaching Technology program. Students will be here to assist you with your technology questions.

Thursday, November 16th at 3 PM "" Join us on the 3rd Thursday for Game Day - Board games and card games. Get ready for some Thanksgiving themed games.
Available Thursday, November 16th starting at 10 AM Board games and card games are fun for all ages. But, what goes into making a board game of your very own? Stop by the Library starting at 10 AM on Thursday, November 16th to pick up our "Make a Board Game" kit.
This kit is geared towards kids and families. Supplies will be limited and kits will be given out on a "first come, first served" basis.  Come play on our Nintendo Switch with us on Wednesday, November 15th between 3-5 pm. We will have a couple of different games available to play. Bring a friend or two for a friendly competition.
Tuesday, November 14th at 3 PM "" Cardboard is a readily available and versatile material. We'd love to challenge young creators, engineers, and artists to see what they can create with just their imagination, a couple tools, and heaps of cardboard.

 Come bring your current project, machine and supplies to sew for a couple hours with friends on Saturday, November 11th. Experienced quilter available for questions.
Friday, November 10th at 3 PM It's hard to keep track of all the flavors of Oreos that have been created over the years.
Do you think you can identify the different flavors in blind taste test? Join us Friday, November 10th at 3 PM to see if your taste buds pass the test. This program is geared towards kids and teens.  Come try out our Life Size Pac-Man game on Wednesday, November 8th from 1-4 pm be sure to bring a couple of friends. This is no arcade game but a maze you must get through without the ghosts get you! Maze will be open for people to go through.

Stop by the Library on Monday, November 6th at 3 PM to reserve your 20 minute slot of virtual reality.
 A kit designed for Adults, inspired Family Gatherings and Holiday drinks and all are non-alcoholic drinks! Kit includes 2-3 recipes and some ingredients. Participant is responsible for purchasing the rest of the ingredients. Pick up a kit starting Monday, November 6th at 10 am.
 Learn how to stay safe while shopping online on Saturday, November 4th at 10:30 am. You’ll learn the basics of how to shop online and get top tips for how to keep your information and finances secure. You’ll also learn what to watch out for online shopping scams. Moderate tech experience expected. Training provided by Bug Tussel.

It's November, and Turkeys are looking to go undercover so they don't become the main dish at Thanksgiving! You can help by disguising a turkey in any way you'd like! Pick up a paper turkey at the library desk, and dress it up as anything you'd like. Sports player? Hula dancer? Be as creative as you'd like. Please return your undercover turkey to the library by Nov. 15 so it can proudly display its disguise!
