Join Braelyn on the last Thursday of the month at 4 PM to discuss this book clubs latest read from the Young Adult or New Adult genre. The book for this session is: The Art of Insanity by Christine Webb This book club is geared towards high schoolers and older. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE OR PLACE A HOLD. Join us for coffee and conversation on Wednesday, May 24th at 2 pm. This is a great opportunity for caregivers with a loved one or a friend going through dementia to talk to others. A dementia specialist will be here from the ADRC of the Lakeshore.
Tuesday, May 23rd at 3 PMMeeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, join Braelyn for Adult Creative Writing. We will have writing prompts and activities for those looking for inspiration. The first hour will be used for brainstorming and writing, the time left will be for sharing our pieces (for those that would like to). All materials will be provided by the Library (paper, pens, pencils). Sharing of new or old pieces is encouraged, but not required.
Friday, May 19th at 3 PMCome to the Algoma Public Library every two weeks on Friday at 3:00 PM for our After School Movie.
Movies selected will be rated PG-13 or younger. Today's Movie is: Movie: Night at the Museum Rating:PG Runtime: 1 HOUR 48 MINUTES Kids stop in on May 18th from 3-4 pm to play with our Remote Control Cars. First we will work together on building a course with different roadblocks and obstacles. Then we will take turns using the cars to get through them. Cars are limited so participants will be taking turns using the cars. These off-road racing cars can perform so many cool stunts. The car can move in all directions, can do extreme 360 degree tumbling spins and can also flip on both sides using its controller.
This program is for ages 9 and up. We are discussing Mother Daughter Traitor Spy by Susan Elia MacNeal on Tuesday, May 16th at 1 pm. This book is available in regular print through Infosoup, and Libby eBook / eAudiobooks.
A kit designed for Adults, inspired by Disney and all are non-alcoholic drinks available Monday, May 15th. Kit includes 2-3 recipes and some ingredients. Participant is responsible for purchasing the rest of the ingredients.
