Stop by the library on Monday, February 27th starting at 3 PM to take part in fun Pokémon games and activities, try your luck at trivia, and maybe win a Pokémon themed prize!
Patrons that play the newest games (Scarlet and/or Violet) or the Pokémon Go app are encouraged to bring their games. The Algoma Public Library is not responsible for the individual games and game systems of patrons within the library.

January was National Soup Month! To celebrate, Librarian Katie made some soup for you to sample and enjoy. Stop by the Library to get a cup of soup on us on Thursday, February 23rd from 10-2 pm! Soup will be available in the back room until it is gone.
We are reading The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood for our Tuesday, February 21st meeting at 1 pm. Books can be put on hold on infosoup or by stopping in the library to place a hold with one of our friendly librarians. This book has large print, regular print and ebook/ eaudiobook editions available on Libby.

A kit designed for Adults, inspired by Love and partners and all are non-alcoholic drinks! Pick up your kit on Monday, February 13th. Kit includes 2-3 recipes and some ingredients. Participant is responsible for purchasing the rest of the ingredients.
Monday, February 13th starting at 10 AMIt's the day before Valentine's Day, but you don't have to make all the plans on your own. Stop by the library starting Monday, February 13th at 10 AM to pick up our Valentine's Day in a Bag kit. Inside each kit will be various challenges, activities, and supplies to help make this special day memorable.
Supplies are limited. Kits are geared towards teen and adult couples. Kits will be given out on a first come, first served. Join us in person at Ruse (322 Steele St. - Algoma) and virtually from the comforts of your own home and discuss your latest reads on Thursday, February 9th at 5:30 pm. This is via Zoom. SHARE THE LOVE – Love is in the air! This memory café will involve your very own love stories! Come and share with us on Wednesday, February 8th at 10 am, any love story in your life; whether romantically with your partner, between you and your pet, a parental love for your children, or anyone else! We’ll document them together and those who wish to share will get a chance to share with us as we spread the love.
Memory Cafés welcome those experiencing early stage Dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment, and family and friends of those affected. It’s a great opportunity for lively discussions, information gathering, refreshments, camaraderie, and lots of creative fun! We have a Dementia Specialist professional on hand to answer questions and an enormous wealth of experience among participants to be shared. We’d be delighted if you would join us!
