 September is almost over and hopefully you got in your Elemental by getting a new library card or renewing your card. To celebrate, we are watching the new movie Elemental (2023) on Saturday, September 30th at 11 am. Elemental is set in Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.
Rated PG with a run time of 101 minutes.

Thursday, September 28th at 4 PM Are you interested in reading more Young Adult or New Adult titles? Join Braelyn on the last Thursday of the month at 4 PM to discuss this book clubs latest read from the Young Adult or New Adult genre. Tuesday, September 26th at 3 PM Meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, join Braelyn for Adult Creative Writing. We will have writing prompts and activities for those looking for inspiration. The first hour will be used for brainstorming and writing, the time left will be for sharing our pieces (for those that would like to). All materials will be provided by the Library (paper, pens, pencils). Sharing of new or old pieces is encouraged, but not required.
 How well do you know popular book covers? Test your luck in our fun BOOK BINGO on Monday, September 25th at 3pm! Books will be chosen from children's picture books, popular children's fiction books and adult fiction novels. Open to ages 9 and up.

Wednesday, September 20th at 4 PM "" Have you heard about or seen Bullet Journals, but aren't sure what you would want or how to assemble them? The Algoma Public Library invites you to stop by on Wednesday, September 20th at 4 PM to assemble a beginners Bullet Journal. All supplies provided.
 Join us on Tuesday, September 19th at 1 pm. We are reading "At the Edge of the Orchard" by Tracy Chevalier. Books are available in regular print, large print and on Libby (ebook and eaudiobook). You can also put a copy on hold on infosoup.
 Come bring your current project, machine and supplies to sew for a couple hours with friends on Thursday, September 16th from 10 am to 2 pm. Experienced quilter available for questions.

 Join us on Tuesday, September 12 at 10am for our special 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Kickoff Storytime!
The Kickoff is open to any child that has not entered kindergarten, and also for those children who are already working towards the goal. 1000 Books Before Kindergarten is a library program that encourages parents and caregivers to read 1000 books with their young children before they enter kindergarten. Books and other rewards are given as incentives along the 1000 book journey. Find more information on our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Page  Introducing our new Oculus Quest 2 (Virtual Reality) gaming device. Would you like to come and try out Virtual Reality for free? We are so excited to add this new gaming device to our library programming. Stop by and try it out Tuesday, September 12th between 1:15-5 pm.
To give everyone a chance to play time slots on the Oculus will be limited to 20 minutes per person.  We will be painting/ carving pumpkins at the library again this year on Wednesday, October 18th from 3-5 pm. Please register for a time slot 3 pm and 4 pm. While supplies last. Each time slot will have a limited number of pumpkins to help with spacing. Call to reserve your spot.

What happens if THIS school year every day is a Monday because someone opened a link in an email on accident? Do you think you and you friends can solve the clues and bring back our 7 days a week? Clocks ticking... if you can't solve it, every day will be Monday forever! Escape room is on Monday, September 11th with rooms at 3 pm and 4 pm
