All supplies will be provided by the Library. Friday, December 8th at 3 PMJoin us at the Algoma Public Library between 3 PM and 4:30 PM on Friday, December 8th to make your own miniature books! We will have different options for book covers and supplies.
This program is open to all ages. Young children are encouraged to be accompanied by older family members. Love Mazes? Love Candy Canes? With a partner, create a candy cane maze that will challenge other teams!
30 minutes will be given to design a maze with candy canes. Teams will then exchange mazes to move marbles through. Can your team create a challenging maze? This kit is geared towards kids and families. Supplies will be limited and kits will be given out on a "first come, first served" basis. This is no arcade game but a maze you must get through without the ghosts get you! Maze will be open for people to go through.

It's November, and Turkeys are looking to go undercover so they don't become the main dish at Thanksgiving! You can help by disguising a turkey in any way you'd like! Pick up a paper turkey at the library desk, and dress it up as anything you'd like. Sports player? Hula dancer? Be as creative as you'd like. Please return your undercover turkey to the library by Nov. 15 so it can proudly display its disguise!

The Inktober Art Contest is back and asking for local artists of all ages to get their art on. Registrations and Submissions will be accepted starting October 2nd! Patrons can select an age group (Children's, Teens, Adults) that they would like to submit to at the time of registration. Rules and guidelines can be picked up at the Circulation Desk. Inktober Art Contest Submissions will be accepted from the time of registration till October 20th. The voting period will be the last full week of October (23rd to 28th). We will be painting/ carving pumpkins at the library again this year on Thursday, October 18th from 3-5 pm. Register for a time slot 3 pm and 4 pm. While supplies last. Each time slot will have a limited number of pumpkins to help with spacing. Call to reserve your spot.
Pumpkins donated from Hillside Apples in Casco. Calling all training Astronauts, NASA is running a training camp for kids 9 and up for an upcoming mission. We are gearing up for the upcoming Solar Eclipse on Saturday, October 14th. To be ready for this mission, trainees need to report for navigation of the solar system training, prechecks for our rocket and more!
