Smart Money Week

All Events are Free and Held at the Library

What is it? Smart Money Week - A week designed to help consumers like you, manage personal finances better. Programs offered to all demographics and income levels, and cover all facets of personal finance free of charge. Here at Algoma Public Library we will be offering 4 programs for you this year- 2 geared towards adults, 1 geared towards adults and their high school teens ready for college and 1 for teens. Are you Money Smart?

College Finance 101: Planning for College - Monday, April 23rd 5-6 pm

NWTC will be coming to talk about financial aid, FAFSA, and options for paying for college. More details coming coming soon! 

Money Matters -Tuesday, April 24th 1-2:30 pm 

Learn about your financial strengths, gain new money management skills and build knowledge you can share with others- your kids, your spouse, friends, co-workers, and more. Presenter: Renee Koenig, MS, Family Living Educator, UW- Extension Kewaunee County.

Finance Frenzy - Thursday, April 26th 3:00-5:00 pm

There is a case of valuables locked in the room & a robber is coming! You must figure out the clues to get into the case & get them to the bank for safe keeping!

No registration will be necessary, and we will run the Break Out Room multiple times depending on the interest. They will start about every half an hour. Families can come and work together! Bring your friends too!

Learn the 5 steps you can take to get a handle on your finances- and your financial stress.
