Come learn with Anna on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at 11 am, as she takes you through the basics of bookbinding allowing you to make your own notebook! Registration is required. Please call or stop in by Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 to ensure we have enough materials.
All supplies will be provided, but if you'd like to use your own fabric / material cover you can bring it. *Note: if bringing your own fabric it needs to be Quilting Cotton and no smaller than 8 inches by 11 inches. Webinar: Container Gardens for Sun and Shade on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Container gardens add color and seasonal interest to balconies, patios, decks, and even your front entrance. No matter where they’re placed, matching the plants to the available sunlight will help boost success. Gardening expert and author Melinda Myers will share container plant combinations for both sun-filled and shady locations. Movies selected will be rated PG-13 or younger. Friday, March 21st movie is playing at 3pm: Movie:The Sandlot Rating: PG Runtime: 101 minutes Our After School Movie program is geared towards children and tweens along with their caregivers. We ask that adults with no children refrain from attending. On the third Wednesday of every month from 3 PM to 5 PM, the Algoma Public Library invites our patrons to step into Virtual Reality. March's VR Game Day is on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 from 3 to 5 pm. Our two headsets, made possible by the Friends of the Library, will be set up in our meeting room space for patrons to enjoy.
Sign-ups are required as each patron will be given a 15 minute turn. (Amount of time for each patron is subject to change depending on attendance.) Join us on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025 at 1 pm. We are reading "The First Ladies" by Marie Benedict. Books are available in regular print, large print, audiobook on CD, and Libby (eAudiobook and ebook). You can also put a copy on hold on infosoup.
Put your chef hat on and get creative at the Algoma Public Library Cupcake Contest! Compete with a team or go solo to create a tasty masterpiece on March 14th from 3:15-4:15PM.
Bring your project and craft join us on the 3rd Saturday of the Month from 10 am to 2 pm. Open to quilters, painters and needle crafters. Formally known as Open Quilting Lab. *Experienced quilter on hand.

Celebrate Mario Day at the Algoma Public Library on March 10th! We will be hosting a Mario-themed escape room from 3:00 to 5:30 PM. Groups will have 20 minutes to solve all the clues and find the superstar!

This film is set during World War II and focuses on the rivalry between sisters, one a sweet-swinging catcher and the other a pouty, impulsive pitcher, who play on the same team, which is managed by a washed-up, hard-drinking ex-Major Leaguer.
Make a Book Heart for a loved one as a gift or save it for yourself on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025 from 1 to 2:30 pm. Supplies provided. Patience will be required for folding pages.
Have you been wanting to try these viral coloring books? Stop by the library on February 25th, anytime between 3:00 and 5:00 PM, to color a page. At the end, participants may showcase their masterpiece and vote for their favorite!
