The Algoma Public Library has received a $10,000 Libraries Transforming Communities grant from the American Library Association to improve accessibility in our building, services, and programs. We’re inviting community members to join us on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 1pm-2pm, and/or Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 5:30pm-6:30pm, for a conversation to share ideas, needs, and experiences related to accessibility—especially for those with disabilities, mobility challenges, sensory sensitivities, or age-related needs.
Your voice matters, and your input will help guide how these grant funds are used to create a more inclusive and welcoming space for all. Light refreshments will be provided. All are welcome! *This event is offered by the Algoma Public Library as part of Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities, an initiative of the American Library Association (ALA) in collaboration with the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL).
