Travel back in time with J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue for a hands-on prehistoric adventure! Discover the living descendants of ancient creatures and learn how reptiles, amphibians, and other amazing animals connect us to the age of dinosaurs.
Wednesday, June 24 at 10:30am. All Ages. Algoma Public Library and Kewaunee County 4-H are teaming up this summer to bring you an unforgettable detective adventure. Young sleuths are invited to the library to explore different investigative methods over multiple sessions in June and July. This interactive program encourages observation, problem‑solving, and scientific thinking through materials and methods used in the real world. Budding detectives will leave this program with a toolkit and the deductive reasoning skills to solve mysteries on their own.

Today's theme is Dinosaurs, part 2. Tuesdays, June 9 - July 28 at 10:30am. Ages 2-6, younger siblings are welcome. Bring your project and craft and join us on the 3rd Saturday of the Month from 10 am to 2 pm. The month of June we are meeting on June 20th.
Open to quilters, painters and needle crafters or just those who want conversation about their craft. An experienced quilter will be on hand. Celebrate America's 250th with us as we learn how American Revolutionary War Patriots risked life and liberty for the cause of independence. A local member of Daughters of the American Revolution will be here on Thursday, June 18th, 2026 at 1:30 pm. "Patriots - Pioneers - Progeny" presentation will share stories about the migration to Northeast Wisconsin by some of the children and grandchildren of the patriots and their impact on our area. We also discuss how our American Revolutionary War ancestors' dedication lives on in their current-day descendants.

Join us on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 1 pm as we are discuss What the River Knows by Isabel Ibanez. Books are available in regular print and on Libby (eBook). Stop by the Algoma Public Library on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 12:30pm to make your own lava slime! For ages 10-18.
Want to jam with friends? Join us on 2nd Friday of the Month from 3 to 5 pm - for the month of June it is June 12. This is a time to practice and Jam with other local musicians without amps or plugging in instruments. Open to teens and adults, space is limited.
Members of Kewaunee County 4-H will be on the library lawn showing off their prized animals. Meet the handlers and their animals, learn what is involved in raising and showing animals and find out more about the 4-H clubs in our area. You can't miss this, there just might be an appearance by a very special local bovine celebrity!

Pick up your welcome bag and reading log, play games, explore our prehistoric sensory bins and learn some cool facts about dinosaurs while you're at it!
The first 20 elementary aged kids to register will recieve a Dinosaur Discovery coloring and activity book. Monday, June 8. 1:00 pm. Children, Teens and Families.
