 Come to the Algoma Public Library every two weeks on Friday at 3:00 PM for our After School Movie. Movies selected will be rated PG-13 or younger. Today's Movie on Friday, January 24th at 3 pm is: Movie: Early Man Rating: PG Runtime: 89 Minutes Our After School Movie program is geared towards children and tweens along with their caregivers. We ask that adults with no children refrain from attending.
 Get creative and make your very own slime on Thursday, January 23rd, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM! Choose from a variety of colors and add-ins, get your hands a little messy, and leave with your own custom slime creation to take home. All supplies will be provided.
 Join us on Wednesday, January 22nd from 3-5 pm as we step into Virtual Reality. Our two headsets, made possible by the Friends of the Library, will be set up in our meeting room space for patrons to enjoy.
Sign-ups are required as each patron will be given a 15 minute turn. (Amount of time for each patron is subject to change depending on attendance.)  We are reading and discussing Tracks: One Woman's Journey Across 1,700 miles of Australian Outback by Robyn Davidson on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 at 1 pm. Books are available in regular print and on Libby (eBook). You can also put a copy on hold on infosoup.
 It's time to Rumble with Mario and friends in Super Smash Bros! Bring your friend and lets have a couple of friendly days on our day off from school on Monday, January 20th, 2025 from 1 to 3 pm.  Come craft with us for a couple hours with friends from 10 am to 2 pm. Program is open to painters, quilters, needlecrafters. Bring your supplies, projects and or sewing machines.
Experienced quilter available for questions. Program formally known as Open Quilting Lab.  Get one-on-one help with your basic tech questions on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Drop in at any time during the session with your device and questions. The time available to answer your questions will vary depending on group size. Make the most of your time by preparing your questions ahead of time, keeping them specific and simple, and asking your most important questions first. Questions are answered on a first-come, first-served basis. No tech experience is needed.

 Ready to set your New Year Goals? ✨🎉Participate in the Algoma Public Library 2025 Bookmark Contest to receive a new year notebook! 📒 The winning bookmark will be printed for Algoma Public Library Patrons in 2025. (Bookmark designs must be 2x6in). Feel free to use your own paper or take a template located at the Algoma Public Library. Deadline to submit a design is January 27th 2025.
